Tom Bachmann (Universität Mainz): P-adic homotopy theory and E-infinity coalgebras

Abstract

I will report on joint work with Robert Burklund. We prove that the canonical functor from p-complete, nilpotent spaces to E-infinity coalgebras over the algebraic closure of F_p is fully faithful. This generalizes Mandell's Theorem, who proves a dual result under additional finiteness hypotheses.
