Nima Rasekh (MPIM, Bonn): The fundamental group and natural numbers objects
Abstract
An elementary higher topos is a higher category that shares characteristics with the category of spaces as well as elementary topoi. The similarity with spaces helps us understand the loop space of the circle in an elementary higher topos. The goal of the talk is to show how one can use our understanding of loop spaces to show the existence of a natural number object.
