Ian Hambleton (McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada): Group actions on rational homology 3-spheres
May 30th, 2017
Abstract
A result from the 1970’s states that every finite group can act freely and smoothly on a closed 3-manifold with the rational homology of the 3-sphere. This talk is about determining which finite groups can act freely and homologically trivially on some rational homology 3-sphere.
