Vorlesung Advanced Topics in Algebra: K3 Surfaces (Modul V5A4)
Prof. Daniel Huybrechts
Montag 10:00 ct- 12:00 Uhr, Endenicher Allee 60, Seminarraum 0.011
Freitag 10:00 ct - 12:00 Uhr, Endenicher Allee 60, Seminarraum 0.011
In this course I will discuss various aspects (algebraic, arithmetic, complex geometric) of the theory of K3 surfaces.
Topics include: Linear systems on K3 surfaces, Hodge structures, rational points and curves, Kuga-Satake construction, moduli spaces of K3 surfaces, Weil conjectures for K3 surfaces, etc.
A solid background in algebraic and complex geometry is necessary, but not my class on Pic and Quot of last semester.

Graduate Seminar on Algebrac Geometry (Modul S4A2)
Prof. Daniel Huybrechts
Mittwoch 12:00 ct - 14:00 Uhr, Endenicher Allee 60, Seminarraum 0.011
All talks in the seminar are devoted to central results in algebraic geometry. Each topic will require more preparation than a usual seminar talk. Some of the talks will take longer than 90 min and usually the speaker will only cover parts of what he has learned while preparing it. Each of the topics is worth the effort.
The talks are only loosely connected to each other, they rather stand alone. The choice of the topics is dictated by my course on K3 surfaces. All topics treated in the seminar will come up again in the course, often in a more special form, namely applied to K3 surfaces.
Prerequisite for the seminar is a solid background in algebraic geometry, e.g. Hartshorne's book. The seminar is recommended for all students attending my class, but everybody attracted by these topics is very welcome. Please get in contact with me (well in advance) if you are interested to give one of the talks. A preliminary list can be found here:
