In the meantime, the Otto Toeplitz Memorial Foundation has started to work. In the winter term 2022/23, Prof. Dr. Norbert Schappacher from the University of Strasbourg was a guest researcher and lecturer at the Mathematical Institute. Currently, Dr. Hannes Junker has a PostDoc position as a research assistant. He also gives lectures and seminars on the history of mathematics.
The Otto Toeplitz Foundation is looking for interested historians of mathematics who can be employed from Winter semester 2024/25 for a maximum of 5 years. This includes:
- Guest researchers
- Postdocs with an outstanding doctoral degree
- PhD students
