Prof. Dr. Ana Caraiani new Hausdorff Chair at the Mathematical Institute
With the start of the winter semester 2022/23 the Mathematical Institute welcomes Prof. Dr. Ana Caraiani at the University of Bonn. Before she has been at the Imperial College London. Prof. Caraiani has one of the Hausdorff Chairs. Her reasearch interests include the classical and p-adic Langlands programs, Shimura varieties, and arithmetic geometry.
Together with her, we also welcome her husband Dr Steven Sivak to Bonn. He is a new Advanced Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics. His interests include symplectic geometry, knot theory, gauge theory, and low-dimensional topology.
