Configuring the proxies in Apple Safari

Sadly Apple's Safari does not support Web Proxy Autodiscovery Protocol (WPAD). Call up System Preferences and Network. In the list next to Locations select New Location…:
Netzwerk: Neue Umgebung
A sub-window with the prompt Name the new Location opens up. Enter WPAD:
Netzwerk: Benennen Sie Ihre neue Umgebung
Click OK. From the list next to Display select either AirPort (for wireless connection) or Ethernet (if you have connected your computer via a network cable) and then Proxies. From the list next to Configure proxies the setting Use PAC-file and next to PAC-file URL the URL http://wpad/wpad.dat:
Netzwerk: Airport: Proxies
Afterwards click Apply.
