About me
At the moment I am a PostDoc at the Mittag-Leffler-Institute in Stockholm.
Previously, I was a PhD student in the
department of mathematics
at the University of Bonn.
I have obtained my PhD under the supervision of
Ursula Hamenstädt.
My CV can be found here
My main research interest is the geometry of mapping class groups (mainly
of surfaces and handlebodies) but I am also interested in low-dimensional
topology and Teichmüller theory.
Publications and preprints
Other things I have been involved in
- A paper on modelling a spiral galaxy (B1933) as a strong
gravitational lens in order to disentangle dark matter and baryons
(arXiv.org preprint,
to appear in the Astrophysical Journal)
- An introduction to representation theory, which evolved out of
course notes from a Clay Mathematics Institute Research Academy for
high school students that I attended
(arXiv.org version,
this has also appeared as a textbook in the AMS Student Mathematical Library)
