Research Interests
I am a PostDoc researcher here at the university of Bonn. My main interests are Teichmueller and Moduli Spaces, Kleinian Groups, the Topology of Symplectomorphism Groups and Geometric Quantization.Publications and Preprints
- Pseudo-Distances on Symplectomorphism Groups and Applications to Flux Theory, (with Remi Leclercq), to appear in Mathematische Zeitschrift
- Higher Bers Maps, to appear in Asian Journal of Mathematics
- Families of Line Bundles over Riemann Surfaces, their Sections, and their Degenerations -- A Constructive Approach using Automorphic Forms, submitted

Hauptseminar Geometrie: '(Lineare) Liesche Gruppen'
This seminar will be an introduction to Lie groups via linear groups. Linear Lie groups represent an ideal starting ground into more abstract differential geometry, despite being very important on their own; on the one hand they are fairly explicit and lots of calculations can be done and phenomena seen concretely, yet their geometry is not at all 'trivial'. In fact, a sound knowledge of Lie groups is essential for modern geometry, and this seminar will try to provide a good introduction with a focus on explicitness instead of abstraction. No prior knowledge in geometry is needed, only multi-variable calculus, linear algebra and basic topology.
List of Talks:
You can find a list of talks here. If you want to participate and give a talk, you can pick one and email me. He who picks a given talk first gets it, so do not hesitate.
Time and Place:
The seminar will take place tuesdays, 10:00 - 12:00 in room 0.006.
Main references:

B. Hall: Lie groups, Lie Algebras, and Representations: an Elementary Introduction
Also, consider attending the lecture by Prof. Ballmann on symmetric spaces, which has a lot to do with Lie groups, although this lecture might be a bit more advanced.

The Arxiv finds Seminar in Topology and Geometry
This is a weekly meeting where we present interesting 'finds' on the arxiv. Every participant is supposed to be active, i.e., speak bi-weekly. We meet wednesdays at 14:15 in room 2.008 or in the Hausdorff Institute.
