Seminar: Geometric Representation Theory


Organized by Catharina Stroppel and Olaf Schnürer.

We will treat some topics from the book "Representation Theory and Complex Geometry" by Neil Chriss and Victor Ginzburg. In the first part we will define convolution algebras in Borel-Moore homology and use them to construct representations of sl(2,C) geometrically. The aim of the second part is to realize the affine Hecke algebra using equivariant K-theory.
